Father Bill’s & MainSpring officially opened its Yawkey Housing Resource Center (HRC) in November, 2023. The HRC, supported in part by a $2m Transformational Capital grant from the Yawkey Foundation, includes a day center with supportive services and programs, an emergency shelter, and 30 units of permanent supportive housing. This effort represents a transformative service-delivery model that views emergency shelter as a last response—by engaging individuals early on and providing personalized support, Father Bill’s & MainSpring aims to reduce the length of stay in shelter or avoid it altogether.
