Investing more than $47 million in Greater Boston Nonprofits Enriching the Lives of Children and Families
DEDHAM, November 7, 2024 – The Trustees of the Yawkey Foundation today announced $700,000 in Program & Small Capital grants to 13 Arts & Culture nonprofit organizations in Greater Boston. The Foundation’s Program & Small Capital grants provide high-impact nonprofit organizations with up to $100,000 for programming, small projects, or equipment to further their missions. The nonprofit recipients of these grants were recognized for their steadfast commitment enriching the lives of children and families by inspiring curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for diversity in culture, conversation, and expression, perpetuating the legacies of the Foundation’s founders, Tom Yawkey and Jean Yawkey.

In 2024, the Foundation continues to uphold its commitment to supporting vital Arts & Culture initiatives through meaningful multiyear grants. This includes a $3 million commitment to Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción for the construction of The Center for Arts, Self Determination, and Activism (CASA). These investments reflect the Foundation’s dedication to advancing creative expression, empowerment, and community well-being, a cause deeply valued by the Yawkeys.
