In this article published on September 12, 2025 by the Boston Herald, Gabrielle Starr shares coverage of and highlights from the 1975 “Super Sox” event held at the Museum of Science. One of the most beloved teams in Boston sports history, the event was a “celebration of camaraderie, resilience, and the enduring power of the game.”

Moderated by Hall of Fame broadcaster Joe Castiglione, the panelists included catcher Tim Blackwell, pitcher Bill “Spaceman” Lee, outfielder Dwight Evans, Hall of Fame baseball scribe Peter Gammons, former Boston Globe columnist and bestselling author Leigh Montville, infielder Rico Petrocelli, longtime Globe columnist Bob Ryan, and outfielder Bernie Carbo.

Also in attendance were John Harrington, Yawkey Foundation chairman and former Red Sox president, and the family of Luis Tiant, who sadly passed away in October of 2024.
