Easterseals Massachusetts (ESMA), a leader in providing programs and services to children and adults with disabilities throughout the state, has received a $250,000 Strategic Investment Grant from Yawkey Foundation to support capital renovation and restoration projects at The Bridge Center in Bridgewater, MA. Projects will focus on improving safety, security, and accessibility, including renovating the equestrian center and swim complex. ESMA merged with The Bridge Center in 2022, filling the void in the community after the pandemic led to the Center’s closure. ESMA’s efforts will ensure that individuals with disabilities in Bridgewater and surrounding communities have much-needed access to quality services in a safe environment.
For nearly 80 years, ESMA has been recognized for its expertise in rehabilitation, assistive technology, youth services, Veteran’s services, employment and transition services, and disability advocacy. The partnership between Yawkey Foundation and Easterseals Massachusetts is grounded in both organizations’ shared commitment to providing access for people of all abilities to participate in enriching programs and activities through equitable access to resources and opportunities.
