On May 15, 2026, the Yawkey Foundation celebrated the opening of La CASA: The Center for Arts, Self-determination and Activism, a transformational new home for Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (IBA) and the largest Latino cultural center in New England. Supported by a $3 million Transformational Capital grant from the Foundation in 2023, La CASA brings to life IBA’s bold vision of a permanent space where arts, culture, education, and community can thrive for generations to come. The Foundation is proud to have partnered with IBA on this landmark project and looks forward to the lasting benefit La CASA will bring to both Boston and the region.
