Database & Technology Administrator

Position Summary:
Yawkey Foundation is recruiting a Database & Technology Administrator to support efficient operations at the Foundation. The position entails administrative and project support for a broad range of operational functions in a small, full in-person office located in Dedham, MA.

Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record with experience with detail-oriented database input and analytics, preferably a grantmaking system such as Blackbaud or similar program. The position requires a highly organized “utility player” who can segue across the various aspects of the Foundation’s core administrative functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing Blackbaud grantmaking system, including grant proposal intake, tracking, and processing, as well as monitoring updates, requirements, and ensuring accuracy of analytics and reporting.
  • Supporting effective functionality of office technology, including optimizing the A/V equipment, online conferencing, telephone and general hardware and software for efficient office functioning.
  • Communicates internally across COO/CFO, CIO, and CPO team.
  • General administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, providing event and communications support, and when needed serving as back-up for our office manager with responsibilities such as answering phones, sorting mail and doing Fedexes, receiving guests, ordering supplies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in Blackbaud (or similar database) system, Guidestar Database, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Diligent Board Books and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communications and writing skills reflecting mature, inclusive interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of three years in administrative positions (including apprenticeships/internships).
  • Demonstrated commitment to nonprofit and/or philanthropic work.

This is a five-day/week in-person position in offices located in Dedham. In certain cases, evening and/or weekend work may be required. Yawkey Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
